Dan earned his Masters of Science in Education from the University of Akron with a focus in marriage and family therapy and professional counseling. He values the therapeutic relationship and understands it's importance when helping clients reach their goals. He is trauma-informed and uses an eclectic approach to therapy ranging from using cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, solution-focused, structural, psychoeducation, neuroscience, play-based and more. Dan has experience working with all age groups and likes to work with individuals with anxiety and has experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, life transitions, adjustment issues, school issues, social issues, stress and has training in adventure therapy. Dan is a military veteran and also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses as part-time faculy at the University of Akron for the Child and Family Development program. His previous behavioral and mental health experiences include working in community mental health, school-based, and private practice settings working with children, adolescents, and adults.
